Need a quick dessert for Valentines Day? Chocolate mousse is a great option – you can layer it in a jar with crumbled brownies and whipped cream for a sweet parfait, you can pour it into a trifle dish and top with chocolate chips, nuts, and truffles, or even use it to fill chocolate cups and top with raspberries and chocolate shavings! This recipe requires just two ingredients to whip together a fast and delicious treat, and then you can decide whether to make an elaborate dessert or to just eat it right out of the bowl mixing bow!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Nutella
- 2 cups cold heavy cream
Instructions:
- Place Nutella in a large bowl. Microwave it for a few seconds to soften it, then let it cool slightly.
- In a mixer bowl fitted with the whisk attachments, whisk the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add 3 tablespoons of the whipped cream to the Nutella and whisk until smooth. Gently fold in the rest of the whipped cream until combined and smooth.
- Chill the mousse at least 2 hours until set. Store in fridge, covered, for up to 4 days.
